Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to work with business partners to translate data needs into technical designs and robust data pipelines. You will lead the data engineering team, drive data extraction, transformation, and loading initiatives, and collaborate with data architects and IT to operationalize ingestion platforms.

You will guide governance strategies to ensure data accuracy and timeliness, mentor junior engineers, and work across teams to advance data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years working as a data engineer or similar role.
• Eight or more years with PowerBI/Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• Five or more years on commercial cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Defines and designs data solutions with stakeholders and data architects.
• Collaborates with project managers for effort estimates and technical leadership.
• Ensures data governance principles are followed in daily usage and designs.
• Leads and mentors junior data engineers and delegates work within the team.
• Educates on data platforms and best practices across the Firm.
