Job summary

KDS Strategic Search Group is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to own and evolve our modern cloud data platform. You’ll design scalable data pipelines and data warehouses while shaping long-term architecture and governance.

You will lead engineering standards, ensure data quality, mentor teammates, and partner with business leaders to deliver trusted data solutions that drive better decisions. This role offers significant ownership and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data engineering experience.
• Experience owning a governed cloud data warehouse.
• Strong SQL and Python development skills.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Fabric, Snowflake, Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Experience designing ELT pipelines and dimensional models.
• Strong understanding of governance, metadata, lineage, security, and data quality.
• Experience automated testing, monitoring, and deployment practices.
• Ownership mindset and ability to lead initiatives end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable cloud data pipelines and data warehouses.
• Develop multi-layered data architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Build robust ELT pipelines integrating data from enterprise systems.
• Develop high-performance data models for analytics and reporting.
• Establish engineering standards, version control, testing, and deployments.
