Job summary

FanDuel is seeking a Staff Data Engineer in Jersey City, NJ to lead the design and implementation of core data infrastructure powering analytics and business use cases. This senior individual contributor role focuses on scalable architectures, data modeling standards, and cloud-native data tooling.

You will partner with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, reliable data products and pipelines, while mentoring peers and elevating engineering practices

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure batch & streaming data pipelines and architectures that support enterprise-wide data needs
• Define standards for data modeling, data product design, and pipeline orchestration using modern tools and cloud-native technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and analytical requirements into end-to-end data solutions
• Lead engineering best practices around code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment
• Lead technical design and code reviews, mentoring peers and raising the bar for engineering excellence
