Job summary

FanDuel Group is seeking a Staff Data Architect focused on AI and ML to shape how data is ingested, modeled, and delivered across the platform. You will own architectural direction for AI-enabled pipelines and for building AI-native capabilities that turn data into differentiated products.

In this role you will guide design, governance, and standards, partnering with data, ML, and engineering teams to translate ambitious ideas into scalable, durable architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years in data architecture and big data with ML engineering experience.
• Strong architectural experience across data warehousing, streaming, and AI/ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the architectural vision for applying AI across the data platform to accelerate ingestion, modeling, and delivery.
• Architect an AI-assisted data pipeline factory with scalable patterns and governance.
• Design AI-native tools and services built on sound architectural foundations.
• Define architecture for advanced ML workloads including vector/semantic search.
• Establish standards to keep ML data flows interoperable, observable, and reproducible.
• Lead cross-team collaboration to translate AI ideas into buildable architectures.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML data technologies and advise on adoption and guardrails.
• Oversee performance, cost, and reliability of AI/ML data systems.
