Job summary

FanDuel seeks an Analytics Engineer for the Sports Modeling & Innovation team to design, build, maintain, and improve data models, datasets and visualizations used by data scientists to power business decisions. You will bridge data from the Data Engineering team to data scientists, analysts and stakeholders, optimizing data usage for insights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics/data engineering roles.
• Bachelor's Degree in a numerate field or equivalent experience.
• Strong SQL, data ingestion, and data pipeline experience.
• Experience with Databricks and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines to enable fast or real-time data ingestion into well-structured databases (SQL, Delta Lakes, etc.).
• Maintain validation pipelines to flag bad/missing data and iterate on pipelines as databases evolve.
• Manage and optimize data transformation jobs for the Sports Modeling and Innovation team; troubleshoot issues.
• Balance memory and speed tradeoffs to optimize query performance and remove unused metrics.
• Create and own a backlog of Tableau dashboards and RShiny app improvements.
• Demonstrate curiosity about AI and emerging technologies.
