FanDuel is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Atlanta to design and build scalable data solutions powering analytics, ML, and operations. You will contribute hands-on to the data ecosystem while collaborating with engineers, analysts, PMs, and data scientists to deliver robust pipelines and platforms.

The role emphasizes data modeling, quality, and observability, with a focus on production-ready data products and an evolving data platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or software engineering focused on data pipelines and platforms
• Strong SQL skills and fluency in at least one programming language (Python/Scala/Java)
• Hands-on experience with Airflow, Spark, dbt, Kafka, or Databricks
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data quality/observability
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong problem-solving and independent work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics and operations
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, product managers, and data scientists to deliver data pipelines and platforms
• Ensure data quality, modeling, and accessibility across the organization
• Promote engineering best practices: testing, version control, documentation, and code reviews
• Evolve data platform and tooling to improve performance and scalability
• Partner with stakeholders to enable data-driven decision making
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design discussions
