Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a senior Lead Data Engineer to drive the design and execution of advanced data pipelines, AI-augmented reporting, and strategic analytics across the business. You will partner with executives to translate complex data into actionable insights, mentor a growing team, and lead projects from concept through deployment.

The role requires strong proficiency in DBT, SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a focus on governance and scalable data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of data engineering experience leading complex reporting projects.
• Proficient in DBT, SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and Python.
• Hands-on AI/ML implementation experience for reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and maintenance of complex data pipelines and dashboards.
• Define reporting needs with senior stakeholders and deliver insights.
• Champion AI techniques to innovate reporting with predictive insights.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends informing decisions.
• Establish data governance and mentor team on standards.
• Guide and train teammates on tools and methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to technical roadmap.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to executives.
• Lead data projects from concept to deployment.
• Serve as SME and escalation point for data analysis.
