Job summary

The S&C Companies is seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to oversee piping installations on large-scale data center projects in the Houston area. This role requires hands-on leadership of field crews and foremen, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget execution of mechanical piping systems including chilled water and process piping.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in commercial/industrial piping with 4+ years in supervisory roles, strong blueprint reading skills, and a proven track

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in commercial or industrial piping and mechanical construction.
• Minimum 4 years supervisory experience overseeing mechanical piping installations.
• Experience leading multiple foremen and large field crews.
• Knowledge of chilled water, mechanical piping, process piping, and commercial plumbing.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all piping installation activities on large-scale data center construction projects.
• Supervise multiple foremen, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure quality and productivity.
• Manage installation of mechanical piping systems, including chilled water and process piping.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, vendors, and other trades to maintain schedules.
• Develop manpower plans, monitor labor productivity, and track material usage.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure installations meet project specs and codes.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA requirements.
