Job summary

The S&C Companies is seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to oversee piping installations on large-scale data center projects in the Houston area. Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in commercial or industrial piping and mechanical construction.
• Minimum 4 years supervisory experience overseeing mechanical piping installations.
• Experience leading multiple foremen and large field crews.
• Knowledge of chilled water, mechanical piping, process piping, and commercial plumbing.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all piping installation activities on large-scale data center construction projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to oversee piping installations on large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects. This position requires a strong background in commercial and industrial mechanical piping systems, proven field leadership, and hands-on experience managing piping operations on major data center projects.

The ideal candidate has experience leading multiple crews and foremen, coordinating complex piping installations, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all piping installation activities on large-scale data center construction projects.
• Supervise multiple foremen, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure quality and productivity.
• Manage installation of mechanical piping systems, including chilled water, condenser water, process piping, domestic water, and other critical building systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, vendors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and avoid conflicts.
• Develop manpower plans, monitor labor productivity, and track material usage.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA requirements and job site safety procedures.
• Identify and resolve field challenges to maintain project progress and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Large-scale data center construction experience is REQUIRED.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial or industrial piping and mechanical construction.
• Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience managing mechanical piping installations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple foremen and large field crews.
• Strong knowledge of chilled water, mechanical piping, process piping, and commercial plumbing systems.
• Experience working on complex, fast-paced mission-critical construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, manpower planning, safety, and quality control.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license required.
