Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. - A19 seeks a Data Center Chief Engineer to lead maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems at the OH data center.

You will manage routine and emergency services, coordinate with technicians, and drive efficiency projects in a high-availability environment. You will work with onsite staff across engineering operations and vendors, handle escalations, perform root-cause analyses, and ensure safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical and/or mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for facilities-related issues and oversee operations of critical systems.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and advise on corrective actions.
• Train and guide Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with Facility Manager to set team culture.
• Create and deploy standard practices for technicians and vendor support teams.
• Support new facilities build-outs and projects to improve facility efficiency.
