Job summary

Prime Data Centers seeks a Data Center Controls Engineer to lead controls engineering for hyperscaler projects, drafting and maintaining standards for BAS/BMS/EPMS/DCIM. You will coordinate across Construction, Procurement, Operations and with external partners to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will develop specs, validate deliverables, and lead Niagara 4 standardization while aligning designs with cost, performance, and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years in building design and construction with controls systems.
• Experience with Tridium Niagara 4 for BMS/EPMS integration.
• Ability to draft and maintain engineering standards for controls.
• Knowledge of critical cooling and IBC/IMC codes; ASHRAE/BICSI context.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain controls design standards for BAS, BMS, EPMS, and DCIM.
• Develop specifications, RFPs, and sequences of operation for control systems.
• Lead Niagara 4 standards across control system projects.
• Validate consultant deliverables: schematics, P&IDs, topologies, submittals.
• Coordinate with IT for secure network connectivity and segmentation.
• Work with Construction/Procurement to install and commission systems.
• Support Level 4/5 commissioning and MOP reviews.
• Contribute to cost, performance, and sustainability outcomes.
• Research emerging tech to enhance design standards and efficiency.
