Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Construction Manager to lead complex data center projects in Charlotte, NC. You will oversee full-cycle delivery, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety and stakeholder communications on site.

The role requires 10+ years in construction management (with at least 5 years leading electrical/industrial projects), a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel up to 50%. This is a full-time role within Eaton's global team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction management with progression across roles.
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years relevant construction management including 3+ years in leadership or project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle project delivery—from planning and budgeting to scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Review technical requirements, scope, and timelines during handoff.
• Use project management tools to track milestones and on-site execution.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with other trades to maximize efficiency and minimize disruption.
• Manage closeout activities including punch lists, warranty handoff, and transition to ownership.
• Act as the primary on-site contact for EESS activities.
• Partner with District Operations to promote safety initiatives on all sites.
• Oversee financial performance via cost control, change orders, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with commercial ops, sales engineers, and technical support to align client expectations.
• Implement program-level changes from Strategic Operations; mentor team members.
