Leapros Skilled Trades is seeking a Data Center Technician (CT1-Leads) in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role leads field teams on conveyance, structured cabling, and ISP installs within a high-scale data center, ensuring safety and schedule adherence.

The candidate brings 2+ years in data center infrastructure or industrial cabling, with proven leadership and a background in skilled trades. Expect a rigorous 50–70 hour week and opportunities to grow within a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data center infrastructure or industrial structured cabling.
• Proven experience leading teams or specific work scopes in construction or mission-critical environments.
• Background in construction or skilled trades is highly preferred for CT1 technicians.
• Willingness and ability to work 50–70 hours per week as needed.
• Expertise in conveyance systems, ISP cabling, or high-fiber count environments.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, floor plans, and cable schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field teams across conveyance, cabling, and ISP installations.
• Install, route, and secure cabling per design and specs.
• Oversee quality and progress to meet data center standards.
• Work 50+ hours weekly with 10-hour shifts; potential 7-day ops.
• Coordinate with management to track labor, materials, progress logs.
• Resolve installation issues related to conveyance and cable management.
• Enforce site safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Support MACs within the data center environment.
