Network Connex in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a Communications Technician II to support installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of mission-critical structured cabling systems in data center environments. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to project drawings while collaborating with a team.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in structured cabling or telecom, OSHA 10/First Aid- CPR certifications, and the ability to read English instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of structured cabling or telecom experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days.
• First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and decommission critical cabling and network infrastructure in a data center.
• Follow safety, quality, and production standards and read project drawings.
• Demonstrate high safety and quality awareness on all tasks.
• Organize materials and tools, keep the area tidy, and address hazards promptly.
• Adhere to customer safety, quality, security, and site access policies.
