Job summary

Leoforce, based in the United States, seeks a Lead Controls Systems Engineer to design and deliver BAS, EPMS, and integrated controls for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities in New York. You will lead technical design, coordinate with MEP teams and vendors, mentor engineers, and interface directly with clients to ensure project success.

The role requires 8+ years in BAS/EPMS, strong knowledge of OT protocols, networking, and BIM tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of BAS and EPMS design experience for hyperscale or data center projects
• Experience leading controls design and coordinating with MEP/FP teams
• Strong knowledge of BAS, EPMS, DDC, PLC, IoT, and smart-building tech
• Experience with data center HVAC controls and chilled-water plant strategies
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, MQTT and OT protocols
• Networking fundamentals: LANs, VLANs, addressing, switches, routers
• Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD
• Ability to develop technical solutions and guide clients through decisions
• Strong project leadership and mentoring abilities
• Ability to manage multiple complex assignments in a remote environment
• Strong written and verbal communication, including direct client interaction
• Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies to improve workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of BAS, EPMS, and integrated controls solutions
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary MEP/FP teams, equipment manufacturers, vendors
• Provide technical leadership throughout the controls design process
• Delegate assignments, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a client interface
• Oversee complex project deliverables and manage deadlines in a remote environment
