Job summary

AmeriLife is seeking a Senior Data Architect to define, design, and govern the enterprise data architecture across modern cloud platforms. You’ll lead scalable, secure data platforms, enterprise models, and data products enabling analytics, governance, and enterprise decisions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in Databricks, Data Vault 2.0, advanced SQL, and metadata management, partnering with engineering, analytics, and governance teams to implement enterprise-scale data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in enterprise data architecture and modeling.
• 5+ years creating cloud-native data platforms and modern architectures.
• Expert SQL skills with performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong Databricks Lakehouse and cloud platform experience.
• Data Vault 2.0, dimensional/semantic/enterprise data modeling experience.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and MDM.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of enterprise data platforms and lakehouse solutions.
• Maintain enterprise data models across business domains.
• Design canonical, semantic, dimensional, and Data Vault 2.0 models.
• Establish data modeling standards and architecture governance.
• Design scalable solutions using Databricks Lakehouse and cloud tech.
• Develop and optimize SQL for large-scale analytics and data quality.
• Partner with Data Engineering to ensure standards and models are implemented.
• Lead architecture reviews and governance across initiatives.
• Create metadata-driven frameworks and standardized pipelines.
• Collaborate on metadata, lineage, and data quality governance.
