Job summary

Judi Health in New York, NY seeks a Lead for the Underwriting Data Analyst team to oversee day‑to‑day underwriting analytics for new business and recontracting current clients. Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in a quantitative field with strong academic record
• 5+ years of data analysis experience including financial analysis, actuarial services, pricing or underwriting
• 1+ year of direct report management experience
• 1+ year of experience with pharmaceutical claims data
• Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and analysis with solid documentation
• Proficiency in Python and R
• Experience with ETL and cloud data warehouses
• Experience handling structured and unstructured data
• Proven track record leading cross‑functional initiatives and delivering outcomes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast‑moving queue
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and adaptable

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, process, and analyze client pharmaceutical data using SQL, Python, R, and Excel to support underwriting and sales
• Understand data fields, identify irregularities, and improve data quality and intake
• Coordinate with stakeholders on data needs and additional data elements for analysis
• Troubleshoot and customize SQL, Python, and R code to diagnose data/process issues
• Develop new analyses and reporting to support pricing models for products
• Provide ad‑hoc analytics support to underwriting for bids and opportunities
• Assist pricing, clinical, account management, and implementation teams with analytics for client transitions
• Collaborate with leadership and other functions to maintain underwriting, financial modeling, and SOPs
• Train and onboard new hires in underwriting data, tools, and processes
• Manage a team of underwriting data analysts and their work queue
• Provide QA reviews of ad‑hoc analyses and reporting views
• Maintain documentation on processes, procedures, and best practices
