Job summary

Judi Health, LLC is seeking a Lead Underwriting Data Analyst to guide a team responsible for pharma data analysis in support of underwriting, pricing, and client transitions. You will mentor analysts, oversee data infrastructure, and build new analytics features on an expanding platform.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business, CS, or a quantitative field.
• 5+ years in data analysis (finance, actuarial, pricing, underwriting).
• 1+ year managing direct reports.
• 1+ year working with pharmaceutical claims data.
• Expert SQL for data transformation with strong hygiene and docs.
• Proficiency in Python and R.
• Knowledge of ETL fundamentals and cloud-based data warehouses.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data.
• Track record leading cross-functional initiatives and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple complex projects in shifting queues.
• Extremely flexible, organized, and able to shift priorities.
• Attention to detail and delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, process, and analyze client pharma data using SQL, Python, and R to support underwriting and sales.
• Understand data fields, identify irregularities, and improve data quality and intake.
• Coordinate with teams for data ambiguity and request additional elements as needed.
• Troubleshoot and customize SQL, Python, and R code to diagnose data/process issues.
• Create new analytics and code in SQL, Python, and R for ad hoc requests.
• Support pricing models with new analyses, reporting, and process improvements.
• Provide ad-hoc analytics support to underwriting for bid opportunities.
• Assist Pricing, Clinical, Account Management, and Implementation teams with transitions.
• Collaborate to develop and maintain internal underwriting, financial modeling, and SOPs.
• Train and onboard new hires in underwriting data, tools, and processes.
• Manage a team of Underwriting Data Analysts and their queue.
• Provide QA review of analyses and dashboards for internal/external reporting.
• Maintain team documentation on processes and best practices.
