Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Director of Data & AI Product Discovery & Design to lead discovery, research, and rapid experimentation across Data & AI products. This role reports to the SVP Data & AI Product and guides Discovery Designers, ensuring usability and alignment with business outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in product design or UX research, strong leadership, and deep experience with journey mapping, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration within enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product design, UX research, service design, or similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience leading design or discovery teams.
• Experience with ADO, Jira, React, Confluence and other Agile tools.
• Strong qualitative research and prototyping skills.
• Expertise in journey mapping, problem framing, and experience modeling.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead across enterprise functions.
• Knowledge of the Product Operating Model and bias for action.

Responsibilities

• Leads user discovery activities to understand user needs and pain points.
• Drives rapid prototyping and learning cycles to accelerate iteration.
• Frames problems, personas, journeys, and feasibility with PMs and Tech Leads.
• Ensures usability of Data & AI products to meet business outcomes.
• Facilitates design thinking sessions and workshops.
• Aligns research with product strategy and roadmaps.
• Coaches discovery designers and ensures compliance with data readiness and privacy requirements.
• Drives adoption of modern discovery frameworks and dual-track discovery/delivery.
• Owns discovery tooling and vendor strategy.
