Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a Supervisor for Cytogenetics to oversee the laboratory's day-to-day operations, including supervision of staff and technical tasks.

This role leads a team of Cytogenetics Technologists, acts as a liaison to physicians, and advances clinical laboratory practices at a premier academic medical center on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Qualifications

• Cytogenetics experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• New York State license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• 4 years of supervisory experience or 2 years with a Master's degree per NYS requirements.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Cytogenetics laboratory operations and quality metrics.
• Manage administrative, personnel and technical duties for the lab.
• Serve as front-line liaison between laboratory staff and physicians.
• Lead a team of Cytogenetics Technologists and drive process improvements.
