Job summary

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, NYS CLT license, and a minimum of 2 years of experience, with ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent).
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional cytogenetic and FISH procedures including specimen processing, cell culture, harvesting, slide preparation.
• Perform karyotyping analysis on hematologic specimens.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance, reagent preparation, inventory management, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Communicate results to supervisors, pathologists, or clinical laboratory directors as required.
