Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. Marlborough laboratory seeks a Cytogenetics Lab Supervisor to lead the Cytogenetics - Lab Support department, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will oversee staff, ensure high-quality specimen handling and test results, and uphold CLIA/HIPAA/safety requirements.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, process optimization, and collaboration with leaders to drive continuous improvement in a patient-centered lab environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience.
• New York State Inspection Lab Requirements.
• 6 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department activities, assign work, set priorities, schedule procedures.
• Hire, train and develop staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Perform advanced/specialized tests and verify results; adjust methods as needed.
• Check and approve specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
• Initiate quality-control measures and monitor adherence to standards.
• Cover technologist duties during absences or peak workloads.
• Complete special projects and reports as requested.
• Maintain safe, clean laboratory areas and equipment.
