Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY seeks a Supervisor for Cytogenetics to oversee the day shift laboratory operations, personnel, and technical duties. You will lead Cytogenetics Technologists and coordinate with clinical physicians, ensuring accurate and timely cytogenetic analyses.

The role requires NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, a bachelor's in CLS or related field, and Cytogenetics experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Cytogenetics experience required or preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in CLS or related field required.
• New York State license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist required.
• 4 years of experience or 2 years with a Master’s degree per NYS supervisory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Cytogenetics laboratory administration, personnel and technical duties.
• Lead a team of Cytogenetics Technologists.
• Serve as liaison between laboratory staff and physicians.
• Ensure high-quality and timely cytogenetic analyses.
