Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Waco, Texas seeks an experienced Lead, Information Security Systems Engineer to implement and oversee cybersecurity across systems, software, and networks. You will partner with customers and engineers to ensure security is integrated from design through ATO readiness.

The role requires DoD 8570 baseline certification, strong RMF experience, and travel up to 15%. A TS/SCI clearance is required for start.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification required; Security+ or equivalent; CISSP preferred.
• Proficient with NIST 800-53 standards and RMF.
• Understand ICD 503 requirements and RMF Security Life Cycle.

Responsibilities

• Hold DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification; Security+ or equivalent; CISSP preferred.
• Adhere to NIST 800-53 standards.
• Ensure information systems meet ICD 503 and RMF requirements.
• Interact with customers and accreditation officials to define and achieve Cybersecurity objectives.
• Assist design engineers in cybersecurity-focused system design.
• Support RMF Security Life Cycle steps 1–6 including information assurance.
• Document security controls in System Requirements Specifications.
• Work with software team on Secure SDLC; perform dynamic and static code analysis.
• Develop secure Linux-based operating system.
• Utilize vulnerability scanning tools; track findings and patches.
• Develop RAR, SSP, SCTM for ATO; review ISSE work products.
• Travel up to 15% CONUS/OCONUS.
