Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for Linux Cyber Security in Waco, TX. Lead a mid-to-large software team to design, develop, integrate, test, and sustain security-focused software solutions for national security programs.

You will manage priorities, resources, and delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams and program leadership. Security clearance (TS/SCI) is required or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in CS or Software Eng and 9+ years related experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years if no degree.
• Experience with DoD/aerospace or government customers.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and modern toolchains.
• Ability to obtain and keep a security clearance (TS/SCI).

Responsibilities

• Lead 6–14-person software team across design, development, integration, test, and sustainment of software products.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure execution on cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
• Provide leadership including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and program leadership to deliver compliant software solutions.
• Manage risks, staffing, and process improvements across the software lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to engineering processes and customer requirements.
• Perform CAM duties including detailed planning, progress tracking, and reporting.
