Job summary

Springfield Technical Community College is seeking a custodial supervisor to oversee campus maintenance, cleaning, and grounds activities. The role involves directing a team of maintainers, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and coordinating snow removal and routine maintenance operations.

The candidate must have 3–5 years custodial experience and at least 1 year of supervision, with the ability to work in all weather conditions and lift heavy objects as required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years custodial experience.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• Must be able to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to lift medium to heavy objects.
• Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Required to be a member of the campus snow removal team.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision to other maintainers on campus.
• Perform custodial and basic maintenance tasks across buildings and grounds.
• Coordinate work area activities and inspect worksites.
• Assist with planning and reviewing projects with management.
