Job summary

Greenwich Radiological is seeking a skilled CAT Scan Technician with Supervisor Responsibilities to join our imaging team in Greenwich, CT. You will perform CAT Scan procedures, prepare patients, and supervise staff while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, adherence to protocols, and collaboration with technologists and reception staff in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT certification; CT certification preferred or required depending on department standards.
• Current state licensure in radiography and/or CT as applicable.
• Prior CT imaging experience required. Bone Density and X-ray imaging experience is a plus.
• Willingness to train and learn Bone Density and X-ray modalities if no prior experience.
• Supervisory, lead, or clinical coordination experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting; compassionate and team-oriented.
• BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAT Scan procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Operate CT equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Administer contrast media when indicated and monitor for reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.
• Assist with Bone Density and X-ray imaging as needed; participate in cross-training as department needs require.
• Maintain an up-to-date list of technologists with current certifications and licenses.
• Oversee ordering of supplies and update supply lists as needed.
