Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist with CT scanning expertise to perform cross-sectional imaging and ensure patient safety. You will educate patients, prepare them for examinations, and operate CT equipment while maintaining hygiene and infection control standards.

You will handle ED and outpatient procedures, determine imaging parameters, and oversee patient comfort throughout the scanning process, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.

Qualifications

• Proficient in operating CT scanners and selecting appropriate imaging parameters.
• Ability to educate and prepare patients for examinations.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, infection control, and patient safety.
• Adherence to State, Federal, and professional standards governing radiology.

Responsibilities

• Operates head or body CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images.
• Educates and prepares patients for their examinations.
• Performs examinations following regulatory standards and hospital protocols.
• Oversees ED and outpatient operations on shift and assists with staffing tasks.
• Delivers patient care essential to the performance of procedures.
• Sets and validates technical parameters to clearly demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Collects patient medical histories prior to exams.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
