Job summary

Greenwich Radiological in Greenwich, CT is seeking a skilled CAT Scan Technician with Supervisor Responsibilities to join our imaging team. You will perform CT procedures, prepare patients, ensure safety, and coordinate with physicians to follow protocols.

The role requires ARRT certification, CT experience, and supervisory or coordination capability. You will oversee staffing, maintain equipment standards, manage documentation, and support cross-training in allied modalities as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT certification required; CT certification preferred or required depending on department standards.
• Current state licensure in radiography and/or CT as applicable.
• Prior CT imaging experience required. Bone Density and X-ray imaging a plus.
• Willingness to train in Bone Density and X-ray modalities if no prior experience.
• Supervisory, lead, or clinical coordination experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting; compassionate and team-oriented.
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtainable on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAT Scan procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure safety and comfort.
• Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for reactions per policy.
• Maintain patient records and documentation; ensure radiation safety and QA standards.
• Assist with Bone Density and X-ray imaging as needed; cross-train as required.
• Maintain equipment lists and ensure ACR accreditation where applicable.
• Oversee supply ordering and inventory management in radiology.
• Monitor biohazardous waste and radiation badges; manage badges for staff.
• Serve as liaison between reception staff and technologists on scheduling and professional issues.
