Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Lead CT Technologist for the day shift (7:30am-5pm), working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Lead will oversee CT imaging procedures, mentor radiology staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in a busy diagnostic setting.

The role requires an accredited Radiologic Technology program graduate, ARRT-CT registration, BLS certification, and at least 3 years of CT experience.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT-CT registered.
• A minimum of 3 years of CT experience.
• If cross trained from another modality, must be registered within 6 months from registry eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Lead day-to-day activities to ensure quality patient care in diagnostic environments.
• Serve as a role model and clinical resource for staff.
• Respond promptly to information requests and follow-up with leaders and staff.
• Coordinate daily technologist assignments and manage exams.
• Operate department equipment safely and provide student mentorship.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. Lead CT technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate care for patient populations in the department.

• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflecting the patient's age-specific needs.

• Assess patients' and families' ability to learn and incorporate teaching throughout the CT procedure.

• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.

• Assure adequate staffing according to volume, flexing when necessary.

• Coordinates daily technologist assignments.

• Assures that all exams are completed and put in take status.

• Operates all department equipment safely and properly

• Teaches and mentors radiology students

• Implements proper exposure techniques and positioning.

• Demonstrates knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration.

• Helps manages supplies in a cost-effective manner.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology Program.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• ARRT-CT registered.

• A minimum of 3 years of CT experience

• If chosen to be cross trained from another modality, must be registered within 6 months from registry eligibility
