Job summary

Snowcap Compute seeks a RF/Superconducting Device Physicist to own the full characterization of Josephson junction devices and PCL logic cells at cryogenic temperatures. You will design bespoke measurement protocols, extract device parameters, and interpret anomalies to guide design decisions.

The role requires collaboration with fab engineers, designers, and test teams in a fast-moving, flat organization. You will publish robust methodologies, drive calibration standards, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent depth in superconducting device research.
• Hands-on characterization with Josephson junctions or SQUIDs at low temperature.
• Strong understanding of cryogenic environments and RF signal integrity in the cold.
• Proven reproducibility and methodology documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end characterization of Josephson junction devices and PCL logic cells at low temperature.
• Design and execute custom measurement protocols to extract device parameters.
• Drive process-measurement feedback loops with fab team and translate data into actions.
• Interpret data to inform circuit and process design decisions and justify changes.
• Publish methodology docs for reproducibility and external collaborators.
• Push noise floor and calibration practices to meet high-precision requirements.
• Collaborate across physics, engineering, and design teams and mentor juniors.
