Turion Space Corp. seeks a Senior Propulsion Engineer focused on cryogenic and chemical systems to design, develop, test, and analyze propulsion for satellites and large space vehicles.

You will drive from subsystem selection to launch readiness, collaborating across teams and ensuring compliance with specifications. The role requires 4+ years in propulsion engineering, expertise with liquid propulsion, and proficiency in MATLAB/ANSYS, with the ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Propulsion Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of propulsion engineering experience for aerospace/space tech.
• Strong knowledge of liquid propulsion system design thrusters and propellant systems; MATLAB/ANSYS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• System-Minded: broad understanding of cryogenic and chemical propulsion systems for satellites/space vehicles.
• Integration: collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate propulsion systems into spacecraft and platforms; ensure compatibility.
• Testing and Validation: develop and execute test plans; perform performance and reliability testing.
• Analysis and Optimization: analyze propulsion performance and implement optimization strategies.
• Documentation: maintain design specs, test reports, and manuals per company standards.
