Job summary

Turion Space is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer, Cryogenic & Chemical Systems to design, develop, integrate, test, and analyze propulsion systems for satellites and space vehicles. You will lead end-to-end propulsion system concepts from thruster selection to ground support equipment and launch readiness.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in propulsion engineering, strong skills in liquid propulsion, MATLAB/ANSYS, and project management, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Propulsion Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in propulsion engineering or propulsion system design for aerospace/space tech.
• Strong knowledge of liquid propulsion system design thrusters and propellant systems; MATLAB/ANSYS proficiency.
• Experience managing complex engineering projects with defined scope, timelines and resources.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• System-minded: understand cryogenic and chemical propulsion for large satellites/space vehicles.
• Integration with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility with other spacecraft systems.
• Develop and execute test plans; conduct performance and reliability testing.
• Analyze propulsion performance and optimize design for efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain design specifications, test reports, and technical manuals.
