Voyager Technologies in Mojave, CA seeks a Lead Propulsion Engineer to direct the propulsion team developing the company’s cryogenic propulsion portfolio. This role requires significant design, analysis, and testing experience and leadership of a multi-year engineering effort.

You will mentor engineers, align technical plans with business goals, and oversee scope, estimates, and risk assessments for propulsion systems and components.

Qualifikationen

• B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or similar engineering degree.
• 10+ years of rocket propulsion system development experience, 5+ years in cryogenic systems (Methane and LOX preferred).
• Ability to coordinate a technical team of 3+ engineers on multi-year projects.
• Proven decision-making with risk balance across quality, cost, and schedule.

Aufgaben

• Lead propulsion team in developing new rocket propulsion systems.
• Provide technical direction across design, analysis, integration, test, and operations.
• Ensure work aligns with company processes and best practices.
• Mentor propulsion engineers on performance, career development, and priorities.
• Collaborate with chief engineering office to align technical and business goals.
• Create work scopes, labor/material cost estimates, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with subsystems to meet project goals.
• Maintain responsibility for integrated main engine systems and flight vehicle architectures.
• Design/analyze cryogenic propulsion systems, including tanks, feed lines, turbomachinery.
• Create/review hardware drawings and component specifications for manufacturing.
• Develop/test plans, lead readiness reviews, and execute component/system tests.
