Voyager Technologies in Mojave, CA is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer to design, analyze, and test cryogenic rocket propulsion systems for sub-orbital VTVL vehicles. You will size components, build fluid-thermal models, and perform trade studies in collaboration with the Pittsburgh and Mojave teams, reporting to the Propulsion Lead.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 6+ years in rocket propulsion.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required; MS preferred
• Experience with cryogenic propellants (LOX/LCH4) and high-pressure systems
• Ability to develop conceptual designs, perform trade studies, and down select to a baseline design

• Design, analyze, and test cryogenic rocket propulsion systems and components
• Build fluid-thermal models and conduct trade studies to guide design decisions
• Develop test plans, execute tests, and post-process results for propulsion components
• Lead creation of hardware drawings to support manufacturing
• Create component specifications for vendor interactions and procurement
• Develop test plans and participate in safety reviews for testing activities
• Perform risk assessment and mitigation planning
• Write and present technical reports
