Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to lead anesthesia services across diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests at the UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham campus.

The role involves coordination with anesthesiologists and surgeons, providing expert patient care, and acting as a clinical resource for staff and learners. Qualified candidates will have graduated from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program with at least two years of related experience, and hold CRNA credentials with ACLS/BLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and two (2) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor for staff and learners.
• Lead daily operations and ensure adequate staffing and efficient workload distribution.
• Perform duties as assigned and support collaborative practice.
