Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a lead CRNA to coordinate anesthesia services for diverse surgical procedures under the direction of an anesthesiologist. The role includes clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and serving as a clinical resource.

The division of Community Anesthesia at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham campus features 15 anesthesiologists and 70 CRNAs, providing services across multiple surgical specialties and more than 50,000 procedures annually.

Qualifications

• Nurse Anesthesia Program graduate with required CRNA certification.
• Two years of related anesthesia experience required; work experience may NOT substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate anesthesia services under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Provide clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Act as a clinical resource and lead daily operations.
