Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Lead Critical Facilities Engineer in Santa Clara to oversee and perform maintenance on data center infrastructure on a swing shift. The role leads a team of electrical and mechanical engineers and coordinates with vendors to ensure 100% uptime for critical loads.

The candidate will develop reliability reports, create and update procedures, and handle safety and emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on maintenance experience in mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with emergency generators, electrical distribution, and building controls.
• Strong technical writing and experience creating MOPs/SOPs/EOPs for critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain data center critical systems (UPS, PDU, generators, ATS, HVAC).
• Coordinate maintenance across vendors and ensure safety and uptime targets.
• Develop and review MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for evolving critical tasks.
• Lead on-site team, assign tasks, and manage multiple projects.
