Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Lead Critical Facilities Engineer to manage and mentor a team of electrical and mechanical engineers responsible for the data center infrastructure. The role is onsite in Santa Clara, CA, with swing shift hours (1 - 11:30pm) and responsibility for uptime, safety, and vendor coordination.

The candidate will develop and review MOPs/SOPs/EOPs, supervise maintenance projects, and ensure high reliability of UPS, PDUs, diesel generators, ATS, HVAC, and building

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ hands-on experience maintenance/repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with emergency generators, MV/LV switchgear, PDUs, UPS, HVAC, building monitoring/automation equipment.
• Ability to read commercial building blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Technical writing experience; creating/updating MOPs/SOPs/EOPs for critical facilities equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work efforts to ensure seamless shift operations.
• Serve as primary escalation point for on-shift CFEs and assign tasks.
• Drive high-level tasks/projects to completion; oversee maintenance vendors.
• Create MOPs/SOPs/EOPs and ensure activities follow procedures.
• Maintain safety and respond to emergencies; ensure 24/7 uptime targets.
