Job summary

Metrocare Services in Dallas, TX is seeking a Specialist Lead Crisis Intervention to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering intensive community-based crisis services for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness.

You will assess crises, develop intervention plans, mentor staff, and ensure documentation and coordination with partners, while meeting on-call requirements and contributing to program development.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in psychology, ABA, social work, or related field.
• 3–5 years supervised experience in behavioral services for IDD.
• Valid license (psychologist, BCBA, LPC or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead crisis intervention team and provide community-based crisis support.
• Assess individuals using a biopsychosocial model to identify needs.
• Develop crisis intervention plans and train caregivers and staff.
• Mentor crisis staff and participate in on-call rotations.
• Document progress and complete required reports.
• Coordinate with LIDDA and external agencies for services.
