Job summary

The City of Anaheim, CA is seeking a Forensic Services Supervisor to lead the Forensic Services Detail, overseeing field and office staff in a 24/7 operation. The role includes planning, organizing, supervising, and reviewing complex evidence gathering and crime scene work.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years of related experience, with supervisory background and relevant IAI certifications. Occasional call-outs and after-hours work are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive and responsible experience performing complex duties related to evidence gathering.
• Experience in crime scene investigation and supervision of staff.
• Knowledge of crime scene techniques, photography, and evidence preservation.
• California Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, supervise and review the work of subordinates; set work schedules.
• Respond to major crime scenes and provide operational support when needed.
• Coordinate training and ensure staff remains current with industry standards.
• Prepare and give expert court testimony and narrative reports on investigations.
• Maintain liaison with courts and other agencies to ensure efficient processing of information.
