Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily field operations, coordinate crew tasks, and ensure safety compliance. The role involves training crew members, resolving site issues, and maintaining detailed records.

You will liaise with property owners and management to ensure timely, safe work with high-quality results. The position is full-time, non-exempt, with competitive hourly pay and benefits including retirement, health coverage, and EAP.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read drawings and symbols for lines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently in field conditions.
• Willingness to travel for storm work.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Discusses with property owner/customer issues such as access, power interruption, and scope of work; refers complex cases to supervisor.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance and costs.
• Furnishes reports of orders completed, crew time, and incidents to supervisors.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
