Job summary

Zip Co Limited is seeking an experienced Credit, Model & Fraud Risk Oversight Lead to strengthen the second line of risk governance across the US portfolio. You will shape how we evaluate creditworthiness, model integrity, and fraud patterns, enabling responsible growth while protecting customers and partners.

The role requires building a robust oversight framework, challenging underwriting strategies, and collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Product to ensure regulatory alignment and risk

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Credit, Model and Fraud Risk with second-line oversight experience.
• Strong SQL and data interpretation to surface risk insights.
• Ability to challenge first-line risk strategies and communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with risk governance and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the second-line oversight framework for credit, model, and fraud risk in the US portfolio.
• Review and challenge first-line risk strategies prior to bank partner submissions.
• Oversee model risk management including validation and governance.
• Assess risk exposures across new products and customer segments.
• Identify emerging threats and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk and Product to ensure alignment with regulations.
• Communicate key risk indicators and trends to senior stakeholders.
• Support risk governance reporting and audit readiness.
• Advise on policy enhancements and cross-functional processes.
• Apply AI tools to streamline risk analysis responsibly.
