Zip Co Limited seeks a Credit, Model & Fraud Risk Oversight Lead to strengthen second-line risk governance across the U.S. portfolio. You will shape how we evaluate creditworthiness, model integrity, and fraud patterns, guiding decisions with data-driven insights at scale.

This remote-first role offers US-based flexibility with an option to work in-person from our Manhattan office and a collaborative, AI-enabled risk culture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Credit, Model, and Fraud Risk.
• Advanced SQL skills and large dataset handling.
• Data-driven mindset with ability to influence decisions.
• Willingness to challenge assumptions with sound judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with AI tools and practical application.
• Comfort in fast-paced, iterative environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the second line oversight framework for credit, model, and fraud risk across Zip’s U.S. portfolio.
• Review and challenge first line risk strategies before bank partner submission.
• Provide effective oversight of model risk management practices, including model validation, inventory, and governance.
• Evaluate credit and fraud risk exposures across new products and customer segments, developing risk recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Identify emerging credit and fraud threats and provide leadership with clear actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk and Product to ensure risk decisions align with regulatory expectations.
• Analyze and communicate on key risk indicators, portfolio trends, and breaches against defined limits.
• Contribute to credit risk governance reporting and audit readiness.
