Qualifications

• Three years of experience in public or private social work including one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity; a bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 college credits in related social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Staff supervision: Provide formal supervision to ongoing protective services supervisors and the social service aide supervisor.
• Employee development: Train staff on procedures, policies and regulations; maintain the policy manual.
• Planning assistance: Help develop the Annual Needs Based Plan and Budget; provide budget trends and identify needs.
• Issue resolution: Discuss problems or unusual cases, identify solutions, and determine when higher-level review is needed.
• Quality assurance: Evaluate case records to ensure services comply with regulations and meet standards.
