The candidate will handle escalations, support daily operations, upsell products, and maintain organized displays while aligning with margin goals. Industry knowledge of construction materials is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in counter sales or a related customer-facing role.
• Experience handling complex customer issues or escalations.
• Ability to train and support team members while contributing to daily operations.
• Proficiency with sales order systems or ERP tools (e.g., Oracle or similar).
• Solid understanding of construction or industrial products and related applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, including order processing and customer follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates exceptional customer service to walk-in, phone, and will call customers.
• Orders products, arranges delivery, contacts customers regarding delivery and updates on order status.
• Serves as point of contact for escalation issues.
• Provides training and support to new counter staff.
• Acts as liaison between supervisor and customers.
• Ensures purchase orders are completed.
• Upsells by identifying related products and promotions.
• Ensures merchandise displays are stocked and clean.
