Job summary

Amity Foundation, a leading provider in teaching and therapeutic community services, seeks a Supervising Counselor to support daily programming and supervise AOD staff. You will ensure compliance, assist the Program Directors, and contribute to CBI and internship activities.

Responsibilities include supervising six staff, tracking performance, guiding staff through certification, and coordinating OMCP mentoring.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience as a certified AOD Counselor at Counselor III level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor Contractor staff performance and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Assess and monitor counseling staff progress towards AOD certification.
• Supervise orientation and intake processes for new participants.
• Approve and monitor relapse prevention/CBI action plans.
• Track participants, staff assignments, and progress.
• Provide training and monitoring of ARMS documentation.
• Coordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors.
• Ensure mentors complete internship hours and document them monthly.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CDCR-related partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
