Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a concentration in counseling (i.e. Counseling, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Marriage & Family Therapy)
• Completion of HCC College Leadership Program a plus
• 5 years of experience working with adult population, preferably in a community college Counseling setting, including 2 years of supervisory experience in an Educational and/or Social Services setting supervising Counseling and/or Paraprofessional Counseling staff

Responsibilities

• Lead the Department in establishing and achieving annual goals and objectives.
• Supervise and train Counseling, Disability, and Career Services staff to include performance evaluations.
• Manage departmental budget and serves as the signature authority.
• Provide online counseling services via email, phone and other applicable technology to include out-of-district, out-of-state, and distance education students as needed.
• Represent the Counseling Department at System-wide meetings.
