Job summary

Houston Community College (HCC) seeks a Director of Student Engagement and Success to lead Advisement, Counseling, Career and Transfer Services, Internship and Student Life, and Orientation programs.

You will partner with Academic Affairs and community organizations to boost retention, assess progress with Institutional Research, and oversee budgets, personnel, and student activities to enhance the overall student experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of administrative experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in higher education advising and developing student success strategies for diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Advisement, Counseling, Career/Transfer Services, Student Life, Orientation.
• Partner with Academic Affairs and community organizations to boost retention.
• Develop assessment tools with Institutional Research to track progress.
• Oversee budgets, payroll, personnel and purchasing.
• Promote student experience through clubs and events.
