Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers in California seeks a Lead Counselor to provide leadership for the counseling team, manage an individual caseload, and participate in facility committees under the supervision of Clinical leadership.

You will assist in problem-solving, state readiness for CARF visits, and other management duties while mentoring clinical staff and ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor or licensed/license-eligible with the Board.
• Proof of licensure or certification by a State approved regulatory agency is required immediately once employed.
• Experience leading counseling teams and conducting staff trainings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Lead counseling team meetings and supervise staff activities.
• Coordinate referrals and participate in case conferences.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and facility policies.
• Provide crisis counseling and patient advocacy.
